There’s lots of stereotypes about mental health:
“No one from my community goes to counseling”
“Seeing a therapist is for crazy people”
“You’re weak if you need counseling”
“You don’t have enough faith in God if you need counseling”
Sometimes depression and anxiety can overlap.You can end up carrying around more than you need into, and accidentally turn it into a way of life. You may even think that's the way it has to be. But that's not true. It's ok to ask for help. It's ok to demand it. It's ok to make taking care of your emotional health, just as important as your physical health.
